Fishing for trout and salmon in Alaska is an experience that every serious fly fisher must try at least one time. For some people once will be enough; others will want to return to Alaska year after year.

There’s no place like Alaska when it comes to numbers and size of fish. From June to September one salmon species or another is spawning and they take streamer and egg patterns readily. In addition there are always large rainbows, grayling and dolly varden to be caught.

The grand scenery and wildlife viewing in Alaska make fishing there a memorable experience. Sightings of grizzly bears, moose and caribou are not uncommon.

The choices for Alaska destinations include “fly-out” lodges, “home-river” lodges, and wilderness camps. The standard stay includes seven nights lodging and six days of fishing.
